I know what it’s like to desperately wish you could freeze time forever ...

You can’t stop time from passing, but you can freeze little moments to cherish forever. 

From one mama to another, I know just how challenging some seasons of motherhood can feel. When you’re in it, days can feel like years, and then suddenly that season passes and you enter a new one. Before you know it, you’ve got teenagers, and the days of feeding, burping and rocking your sweet newborn feel like a distant memory. 

It might sound silly to some, but I could never picture myself with teenage boys, or maybe my heart just couldn’t bear the thought of it, because to me, they’ll always be my babies. 

With each passing year, I feel my heart simultaneously grow and break a little. The pride I feel when I look at the smart and kind young men they’ve become is overwhelming, but so too is the longing to go back in time and relive just one single day with my baby. 

I wish someone had told me back then to get in the photo, no matter how I looked or felt, because looking back now, I don’t have nearly enough photos of us all together in those early years. 

It’s part of the reason I love photographing families. You’ll never regret the photos you have, but one day, down the track, you may look back and wish you took more, and I’d love to help you do it.

THE CREATIVE FEE

Think of the Creative Fee as an all-access pass to my knowledge, collection of favourite shoot locations, and more!

$250 (1-2 hours)

Your Creative Fee is a non-refundable amount that secures your booking, and covers the planning, travel and time dedicated to making your session and images truly unforgettable.

I’m constantly on the look out for new locations and dreamy backdrops. So, if you’ve spotted your dream location from one of my previous shoots – lets chat. I recommend in-home sessions for newborns and babies. There’s always an added sense of comfort, warmth and sentimental value.

Beyond the location, your Creative Fee also covers the creative process of editing and curating your gallery. This can take up to 3 – 4 weeks and involves intricate yet subtle edits that produce the most magical galleries. In addition, it also includes a complimentary 8×12″ print with any order. As soon as I receive your Creative Fee, your booking is officially locked in, and the fun begins.

Got any questions?

With two boys of my own, I know the feeling all too well. If it puts your mind at ease, I’m yet to have a session where I didn’t manage to capture magic! Don’t worry about the house (being a mess) or the kids playing up, I’ll gently guide (any older siblings) with games and prompts, to create some fun, and I can move little bits around to get the shot! Mostly it’s just about going with the flow and capturing the essence of your beautiful tribe! 

We’re all guilty of being a little harsh on ourselves, and the fourth trimester is no exception. Having just brought a baby into the world, it’s easy to feel a little foreign in your own skin! I know the feeling all too well, but I promise you, you’ve never looked more beautiful than when you’re surrounded by your loved ones. This is what I capture. It’s my job to get the best angles, and lighting, and your job to focus on having an amazing time, and I assure you, the result will be stunning!

Your newborn session is entirely guided by your baby. It’s a calm, go-with-the-flow style of session where I won’t ask your baby to do anything unnatural. I will photograph your baby in a very natural and organic way, ensuring they are completely comfortable. If your baby needs to be fed, changed, or soothed, then that’s exactly what we’ll do. Some of the most beautiful captures come from those real, genuine moments.

Ideally within the first 14 days after birth, when they’re still sleepy and we can capture those fresh little features and wombcurls. If we miss that window, it’s not the end of the world, babies are picture-perfect at every age!

Don’t think of it as having your photo taken, but more about spending an hour or two of uninterrupted time playing and laughing with your family. I am continuously told by families that they’re surprised by how at ease they felt during their session, and that they barely even noticed the camera. There is no posing, or smiling for the camera during my sessions, which keeps things casual, relaxed and most of all FUN!

Ultimately, it’s all about feeling confident and comfortable (which I know can be a challenge postpartum). Think less about how you look and more about what feels like ‘you’. As for the rest of the family, I share lots of outfit inspo in the lead up to your session, including curated Pinterest boards with colour palettes and textures that photograph beautifully. As a general rule, if in doubt, you can never go wrong with neutrals.

It’s just a $500 deposit, then the balance is due a week before your due date :

The two sessions will be delivered to you together in a beautiful gallery, soon after your newborn session is complete.
