It’s amazing how the little moments become your mo It’s amazing how the little moments become your most cherished memories…
When you are approaching the end of your pregnancy When you are approaching the end of your pregnancy, especially your last one, there is a real desire to acknowledge that this chapter has been powerful and for many it will be missed. For some mummas it could have been hard, so possibly it won’t be missed. But no matter what, there is a need for it to be seen.

One of my favourite parts of capturing mummas at the very end of their pregnancy is giving them that moment, it’s almost like a ceremony, a moment to celebrate and respect their body for all that it has done.

I love how women feel after their maternity session. So often I’m told they didn’t realise how much they needed this, that it made them stop and appreciate and admire their body for all that it’s given them.

It’s pretty special.

Don’t you love it how kids love the simple things. Don’t you love it how kids love the simple things. It’s like watching purity in full bloom. This shot reminds me how less complicated things used to be, if only our kids could grow up in that world where there were no devices or the fast fixes we have today.
I’m a believer that your first child gives you and I’m a believer that your first child gives you and your partner a connection that didn’t exist before their arrival. There really is something magical about what you made together and as much as the early weeks/months/years can be harder than anything you’ve ever done before, somehow the fact you are learning it all together brings you closer. Tell me if you think the same, or am I just romanticising it all (because let’s face it… I kinda miss this chapter 😉) x
One thing I never want to forget as a mum is the g One thing I never want to forget as a mum is the games I played with my kids when they were little like this. I love remembering the laughter. Whenever I see photos like this of my own family, it takes me straight back there, I can remember their eyes looking into mine, the funny things we said to each other, their complete idolisation in their eyes when they would look up at us. Thank goodness for photos, I think I’d forget a lot of it otherwise.
Home is where the memories are true. Just you, in Home is where the memories are true.

Just you, in the beautiful baby bubble. Playing the guitar you always play. Feeding on the couch you always sit on. Loving the love that made this little piece of both of you.

This new family let me into their world exactly as it is, sleep deprived, head over heels, completely them. And that’s why these photos will still take their breath away in twenty years.

Your home holds your real life. That’s where the story is.
