One of the biggest things I hear from couples book One of the biggest things I hear from couples booking maternity sessions? “We don’t know what to do in front of the camera.” And I get it... most of us don’t do this on a day to day basis... LOL But can I tell you the one thing that makes the biggest difference? How comfortable you feel with your photographer. When you’re looking for someone to photograph you, scroll through their feed. Look at their website. Do they share a bit about themselves so you know who they are? If they do, ask yourself... does this feel like someone I could hang out with? Someone who would put me at ease? Or does it feel intimidating? Because the most beautiful maternity photos don’t come from perfect poses. They come from feeling comfortable enough to just be yourselves. And that starts with choosing someone who lets you be you ✨

To our first born, our little fire cracker, our wa To our first born, our little fire cracker, our warm hearted Max… Happy 18th Birthday. From the moment you were born you took our breath away. You showed us we could love in a way we never thought was possible. You were the most chilled newborn. The way you stretched when you woke... you still do to this day. You were always so happy growing up, and you are still that way now. Those eyes looking up at me, I’m so glad I captured that. Your laugh that filled your face, you still have that. Your kindness and consideration for others, I know you will never lose that. Putting together this slideshow to celebrate your 18th had me in tears. Tears of pride and disbelief. The fact that you are now considered an adult... I honestly can’t get my head around it. But to be honest, I don’t think I ever will. You made me a Mum, and you’ve made me so proud. So many people warned me your childhood would go by so fast, yet I never really comprehended how fast they were suggesting. If I could press rewind and do it all again, I’d press that button in a heartbeat. And I wouldn’t change a thing. Maybe one thing… take even more photos of you than I already did, and not sweat the small stuff. Because my goodness, I love you with all my heart. And if I could keep you as my little boy for the rest of my life, I so would. So when you feel like I’m an annoying Mum who over worries and wants to know EVERYTHING, just know it’s because I absolutely adore you and I just want you to stay small forever. What I know for you as a newly titled adult is... my goodness, you have the world at your feet. With your heart and enthusiasm for life, the world is your oyster. I am beyond proud of you, my little Maxie xxx
