Hey, I’m Polly, a creative family photographer capturing families across Sydney’s Northern Beaches through pregnancy, the newborn bubble and all the wonderfully chaotic years that follow.

The Northern Beaches are made for the kind of sessions I love: bare feet, salty hair, room for the kids to run and plenty of space for things to unfold naturally.

My sessions are relaxed, playful and centred around your family’s connection. We walk, explore, play games, cuddle, laugh and follow the kids’ energy rather than asking everyone to stand still and smile at the camera.

That might mean racing along the sand, exploring a rocky headland or spending a slow afternoon at home. The aim is always the same: photographs that feel like you and bring you straight back to this version of your family.

I photograph families throughout Sydney’s Northern Beaches, from relaxed beach sessions to headlands, parks and sessions at home. Once I know a little about your family and the kind of setting you love, I can help you choose somewhere that suits you.

I keep a close eye on the weather in the lead-up to outdoor sessions. Cloudy skies are definitely not a problem, but if conditions genuinely aren’t going to work, we’ll make a call together and find another option.

They don’t need to. My sessions are built around movement and play rather than asking children to perform for the camera. I follow their energy, change things up when we need to and use plenty of games to keep things fun.

Absolutely. I photograph family, newborn and maternity sessions throughout the Northern Beaches. Newborn sessions are usually held at home, while maternity sessions can be at home or outdoors depending on the feel you’re drawn to.

For outdoor sessions, the most beautiful light is generally later in the day as the sun softens. The exact timing changes depending on the season and location, so I’ll help you choose a time that gives us beautiful light while still working for your family.
