Hey, I’m Polly, a creative family photographer capturing families in Balmain through pregnancy, the newborn bubble and all the wonderfully chaotic years that follow.

I love photographing families in places that already feel like part of your life. That might be a slow morning at home with your new baby, wandering the streets with the kids or heading somewhere nearby with room for everyone to move.

My sessions are relaxed, playful and centred around your family’s connection. There’s no pressure for perfect smiles or perfectly behaved kids. We cuddle, play, explore, laugh and let things unfold naturally.

Absolutely. In-home newborn sessions are one of my favourite ways to photograph those first weeks. Everything stays relaxed and baby-led, and we use your home as the backdrop so the photographs feel personal to your family.

Sessions can happen at home or outdoors around Balmain and the surrounding Inner West. Depending on the feel you’re drawn to, we can use leafy streets, parks, waterfront areas or somewhere your family already loves.

They don’t need to. My sessions are built around movement and play rather than asking children to perform for the camera. I follow their energy, change things up when we need to and use plenty of games to keep things fun.

I recommend booking your newborn session during pregnancy where possible. I love photographing babies within those first two weeks when everything is still beautifully new, but the session is completely baby-led, with plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles.
