The Kind of Backyard Chaos I Love to Photograph

I don’t think you need to look at many of these photos to know this session was SO MUCH FUN. This family completely embraced the idea of simply hanging out at home, playing with the kids and letting me photograph whatever unfolded.

We did everything: backyard races, swing competitions, backwards trips down the slippery slide, feeding the chooks, running through the sprinkler and plenty of water fights. Then we finished it all off with a very wet jump on the trampoline.

We definitely earned an extra serving of dessert that night, plus a few wines for the adults.

Sessions like this make my heart sing. There was literally zero posing, just real play, real personalities and the kind of memories that actually feel like this family.
